Hey all, thought I might make my first post an interesting one with some very common and newbie questions you have all never heard yet!
So I'm 16, 5'10 real skinny at about 130lbs. I'm coming off my first board, a 148 K2 WWW that I felt was getting too small and a little tooflexy and park oriented, want it to handle better on groomers but still work for park.
I ride a lot of park and want to advance my park skills this year on rails, boxes, and bigger jumps, but I also enjoy fast carving on groomers, riding powder, pretty much everything. I dont want an all mountain because I ride too much park. So I have come to the conclusion after a lot of research the skate banana is right for me, shred the park but the whole mountain as well. How unique of me right?
Im quite tall for my height, and wouldnt mind growing into the board to have it longer, but obviously dont want it too long so this season it doesnt handle correctly. I dont do much spinning (yet) off jumps or on the ground so I'm not too worried about it being too long for that, but I want it to handle nicely everywhere. I havent ridden many boards so I'm not very knowledgable on how length, width, rocker type all affect the ride, going pretty much off research.
Overview: 5'10 130lbs still growing ride a lot of park, powder, groomers, no idea what size to get, 152 154 156? Want as big as I can go without sacrificing too much handling. Hopefully someone who has ridden the Lib Tech Skate Banana can give me some advice or anyone with a general knowledge of snowboard sizing. I hear this board rides big is that a deciding factor as well? Thanks in advance
