Need some help deciding on my next board
Ok so to start it off let me tell you a little about me. I am 6'3" and about 250-260 pounds. I have a size 14 boot and I have been snowboarding for about 4 years. As of right now I have a Lamar kealm in a 164. I am constantly having my heals or toes hit the ground and making me skip out. Especially on the steeper stuff up at mammoth. So I have decided to lay down the cash for a new board. I know I want somthing longer and wider as I spend the majority of my time off the park runs (the bigger you are the harder you fall haha) so I started looking at freestyle all mountain boards and came across two that cought my attention. The first being the 2014 never summer raptor x in a 169 wide I really like the look of this one and after reading some reviews it's supposed to be great at speed and stability as well as traction. Some people called it the Cadillac of snowboards because of how smooth it was at hog speeds. The next board I found was the lib tech skunk ape in a 170 wide (or longer. They have them but I'm not sure how long I should go) this board seemes to be a bit more loose and playful which means a loss in stability. But it does come in a longer length wich might be better for me anyways. One think I don't like about it is the look haha. Not a huge fan of the lib tech artwork but hey if it's a good board and I like how it rides then who cares what it looks like. It's going to be in the snow anyways. So what do you guys think? I really can't decide. Raptor x or skunk ape. Let me know! And thanks for your help in advance!!!
