Bindings are a bit of a tough one to explain.
It's one of the few pieces of equipment where a $200 set can perform equally with a $400 set.
Usually, a more expensive binding is going to be made out of more durable materials, have better customizability, and have better ratchets (Technines have awesome ratchets). Usually a better warranty, too.
However, this doesn't mean that all cheap bindings are crap.
