I've ridden at Seven Springs a handful of days, about 5 years or so ago. (And skied there a handful of days about 20 years ago.) So take anything I say with a grain of salt. (I'm a middle-aged guy with kids.)
In my cheapskate view of the world, having a place to stay trumps many other factors.
The 750 vertical is for the north face. Check out a trail map. The main face is something like 400-500. So just keep that in mind, especially if you go early season and the north face isn't open yet, so you won't be disappointed.
They do have pretty massive snowmaking and can cover the place quickly.
I understand their parks are impressive. (I'm not really a park rider, so I can't judge.)
There's a big party atmosphere. I'm not a drinker, so I can't tell you where to go or not go, but there's a bar at the base lodge that gets super crowded (Foggy Goggles, is it?) I've never seen so many drunks on the slopes as I have at Seven Springs. Seriously, like dangerous drunks. OK, the last time I was there was between Christmas and New Year's, so I'm sure that was a factor.
Whereabouts in Ohio? Is Holiday Valley (Western NY) a good option for you?
Sooner or later your legs give way, you hit the ground.
