Hi guys. I've been reading this forum for awhile now trying to settle on a new all-mountain freeride board, but I wanted to get some specific advice before I decide. Info:
12 (wide board?)
No limit really
Location of riding
Just married into a family with a house in Sun Valley, so most of the time will be there. Will also be taking trips every so often to places like Targhee, Jackson and Big Sky.
I freeride with the occasional jump/spin off of natural elements. Sun Valley is very feast or famine with snow, so I'd say about half will be on steep groomers and the other half will be powder... turning thru trees or bombing bowls.
What I'm looking for:
Suggestion for a freeride board that can do it all. Stable on fast groomers, turn in the trees, but enough float to charge through powder. I also would like advice on length... currently on a 158 Slash (used to freestyle more) but I'm thinking I need to be in the 161-165 range.
A LOT of ppl on here seem to be high on NS, so I wouldn't mind giving them a shot. There appears to be subtle yet important differences between most of their boards so I would like some advice on which would best suit what I'm looking for.
From what I've read so far, I'm thinking the Cobra X. However, looks like Raptor X, Legacy, or Heritage X (hate the gfx tho) could all work.
I also wouldn't be opposed to other brand suggestions either.... read good things about K2 Turbo Dream or Lib T.Rice Pro.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
