Get him riding switch NOW and a lot. Flat spinning to switch and back while cruising around both from and back side. It will help him so much. I can barely ride switch and I'll pop back from 180 really fast. My son, now at 13 going on 14 rides them both equally well. He will drop a 25' cliff in super steep terrain, do a 5 and ride out switch at Mach speed..... Scary but fun to watch. Makes my wife want to vomit......
One other word of experience.... Get him running gates for training of you can. That or a part time SBX team. He will probably hate it but he will get WAY better, really fast. Also trampoline training is amazing too for air awareness, spinning and flipping.
That was more than board advice but riding as much as you guys do, it's more than a past time already. That is of course if you ride over 50 days.......
