What exactly is the difference in soft vs hard flex in boards? I know soft is for park, jib, etc. and hard for carving, back country, etc. but why? What does it do? Just curious.
A softer board is for park because it bends easily and is consequently easier to press and poppier because it can be ollied easier. While a hard flex is for carving and backcountry because it is more stable at higher speeds.
My fun kink is super uber soft i practice everynight on it outside on a bench ollieing off and doing 360s would be cool to be able to practice forward flips and if i could land them with out moving but i need some speed .
