Default Tips for transitioning to down rails

Old Schooler (fart) here. Just getting my first BS boardslides in on flat, low kids rails. Feeling decent for having done my last boardslide on a skateboard in the 80s. Let me tell you the grace and balance don't come as easy after 40, but I'm commmited.

I'm psyching myself to transition to down rails with ollie on approaches. I'm pretty content to keep it BS boardslides and 50-50s for now. I imagine it's even more crucial to have your body and board flat to the angle of the feature. Anyone have some wisdom to pass my way so I don't rack myself too bad?
