2012 Burton Malavita - Bad Buckle
So first of all, Burton Rider Services is already sending me a replacement buckle so technically my problem is resolved but...
I bought some 2012 Malavitas (new) from evo.com in August. Off-season sale at a great price. Last week was my 4th day riding on them and I encountered a problem when I got to the lift - the rear foot ankle buckle would not release. It took quite a bit of effort to finally be able to unstrap.
I've been trying to figure out what is wrong with the buckle and nearest I can tell is that for some reason when releasing the buckle it won't elevate the "tooth" high enough to clear the teeth on the strap. There is no visible damage to the buckle, it still looks brand new. I don't see anything broken, bent, or twisted. Yet for whatever reason, when pulling up on the buckle it just won't raise high-enough to clear the teeth.
Is anything adjustable/fixable on these buckles? Anyone encounter this type of problem before?
