Hello all, this is my first post and I am needing some advise. I have searched on here and found several topics discussing pain related to the rear quad but mostly half way through the day or the next day after a trip. My problem is slightly more aggressive. First off I'm in pretty good shape. Work out min 3-4 days a week. Unfortunately I live on East Coast so I have a short board season and only get to go 5-8 times per season. Anyway, weather its my 1st trip or 5th trip I have this same problem. Strap on my board, ride about half way down the slope, and I have to stop because my back (uphill) quad is hurting so bad I can't stand it. IMMEDIATELY when I stop and go to my knees it goes away. Stand up to board and in 30sec same thing. If I go on a long trip (3 days at Snowshoe) by the 3rd day it's starting to let up. I'vwe had a couple friends that suggest it's the angle of my bindings or I'm putting to much weight on my back leg, or both. Right now my bindings are set at +15/+3... Would going duck take some pressure off rear quad any? Sorry to be so long and drawn out but this problem has plagued me since I switched to boarding (3yrs ago) I love boarding but I'm at the point where if I can't figure this out I'm heading back to skii's
... I greatly appreciate any advise!!!
