New board length?

Hi! I'm a longtime skier taking up boarding - I have 3 lessons and about 10 days total on a snowboard. I'll probably board like I ski - mostly groomed trails, some out-of-bounds, no park stuff, and not a speed demon (39-year-old lady here)!

I've got my sights on the Rossignol Magtek One. It may be a little stiff for a new snowboarder but I'm already finding that with a skiing background I like stiff boots and bindings, so I expect the same with the board.

I'm just a bit uncertain about length. I'm 5ft5inches and generally weigh around 160lbs. So, 153 or 156? From my research I'd say 156, but my snowboarding friends feel like that's too long - a 180lb friend always rides 150 - 153.

I ski 167's but I don't know (doubt) if there is any correlation.

Any advice appreciated, thanks!
