I think its more rewarding to land a trick while skating. Fuck it takes forever to get it juuustt right and it hurts if you dont. If i fuck up doing a snowboarding trick, oh no, I either slip off the rail prematurely or bail on a jump and land in a big pile of snow. It also doesn't take nearly as long to get a trick locked down on a snowboard. It took me several weeks to get a front board on my skate locked down but it took only a day on my snowboard.

Snowboarding is awesome don't get me wrong. But when it comes to progression and difficulty Skateboarding is win. Just keep at it and you'll get back into it in no time. I kinda went through the same thing, I gave it up for years. Between 18 and 22 I didn't touch a skate, I thought it was immature and I had to give it up to grow up while at Uni. I was wrong, I should've stuck with it.
