I have rented Burton ratchet type and did fine.A few times it took me awhile to connect the ankle strap on a few that seemed really stiff. Did NOT like the Head bindings I rented at Crotched Mt. last weekend.

As far as the ratchet type, I cannot seem to do them with gloves/mittens on so I take my stuff off..kind of a pain but...I heard about the Flows but someone said they are crap. On a different note, I loved the Flow boots I tried on..airy light. Want boots with the BOA but still am shopping..
