Review: 2014 Smokin Team Series

Just received my 156 Smokin Team Series in the mail, and wanted to start a review, as I have seen so many questions regarding Smokin, but it's hard to find reviews on the board.

180 lbs
Stance - 15, 15

Just some background. I was looking for a board that could handle the mountain, would be fun at just cruising speeds, and be able to still handle everything in the park. I'm experienced with jumps, but still a beginner with boxes and rails, so was looking for a board that was capable of both and still have a fun all mountain ride if needed.

This board has thrash rocker. Basically like the C3 for Libtech, however, comparing to a Hot Knife, the rocker section between the feet actually touched the ground but doesn't raise the board off the ground like C2. With the Hot Knife, the rocker section doesn't even touch when placed on the ground. I actually think this could end up being a nice compromise, as the Hot Knife did lose some of that playful ride with the rocker being so small.

The flex is exactly what i was looking for off the snow. Very medium soft, between a Proto and Evo from NS. Much softer than a Superpark.

The board has a beefy Lib Tech, NS like build. The board is actually a little on the heavy side, but I actually don't mind that as if rather have a damp ride during the day for resort cruising once it gets chopped up.

I'll take it out to CO for 5 days in early March, and give a full review. Been also meaning to get a Banana Magic review up. Also had a Greats and a Westmark that I need to review.
