I have never been to Stowe, but I can give you my thoughts on Whiteface. Coming from a small Ohio Midwest hill, Whiteface was fun. A lot of trails and a decent amount of long runs which were fun. Wilmington trail I think is the longest at like 2.5 miles and a good ride. Has all varied levels of terrain and you can find some pretty decent steep runs if you want. It can get very windy, cold, and icy depending on weather. But if your going later in spring you might be ok. Two days at Whiteface was plenty for our trip, not really big enough to stay anymore days. I don't ride park so I cant comment on Whiteface's park section. Overall a fun mountain and as they claim its the biggest vertical on the ice coast. Hope this helps.
