... On the snow
Ok heres the deal: My wife and i snowboard. We go out virtually every weekend during winter for day trips and some weekend trips (usually by bus, its the most affordable, especially when you are doing 4 trips a month). None of my friends are into snowboarding much/or they have kids and cant go. So its always just the two of us
Having a wife that snowboards is absolutely awesome, but i also think that it might also be holding me back. She is a good boarder, in that she can link turns, hop 180s and small jumps etc; but she also doesnt like going fast down a mountain, and isnt much of a fan of the park... I miss the testosterone fueled motivation that boarding with guys that are on a similar level to me would bring. I was hoping to start practicing backflips this year, or at least bring 360s to bigger jumps and also start rails/jibbing etc, but I only ever get 1-2 runs of the park per day on the mountain.
Inviting one guy to join us is not going to work, because it either means we would leave her on the bunny runs while we lap the park; or it means all 3 of us are going on her level. Going out by myself will be met with jealousy and threats to stop the weekly boarding excursions
So this is a feeler to see if there are any couples living in Tokyo in a similar situation, who would be down for a few daytrips per year, and a couple of weekenders, possibly rentacar roadtrips when the snow starts melting. Ideally, the girls could go off on their own pace, and we head off to do stupid stuff, and we meet up a few times a day to do some runs together etc
