Unhappy Knee injury

On march 6th I was working on a container ship delashing containers and had a 20' steel lashing bar tat weighs around 65lbs fall and bounce off the deck of the ship and bounce up and take my knee out. Being a dumb ass thinking I was ok I continued to work for an hr before i could no longer walk. Went to hospital for xrays with a very swollen knee and they didn't see anything broken.. last week was sent to the ortho surgeon for an MRI still unable to walk. I go back in a few days to get results. Still in alot of pain, the MRI person made it sound like i do in fact have a broken leg right below the knee. Needless to say my snowboard season ended early this year and I will be off work for awhile. Ive never had an injury like this and the sitting around is the hardest part being a usually active person..
Has anyone else experienced serious knee trauma? Any words of advice. Thanks NR1
