This is a trend that is taking place all over. Resorts take advantage of the walk in traffic as they should. Most mountains offer several packages ranging from full season to once a week or a four pack type deal. As a result there still is a valid market for say "Lets go ride today" or "family is in town" type situations.
I would like to think that one could score some discounted lift tickets there. But you can expect the single ride walk up ticket to me much higher priced solely to fit the "convenince" traffic.
My mountain which is a bump compared to out west charges $40.00 per day walk up price..Thats insane!. I pay $260.00 for the season.
