Snowboarding & Kiteboarding

I snowboard in the winter and kiteboard in the summer to keep up my boarding skills.

I know a lot of snowboarders who also wakeboard in the summer. But, you need a boat which I no longer have.

Just curious, how many of you snowboarders also kiteboard in the summer?

If you're not familiar with kiteboarding here's what it looks like: First Day of Spring on Vimeo.

Many of my snowboarding buddies are now also getting into kiteboarding. It does require lessons to learn how to fly the kite which can cost between $500 - $1,000.

The only place I know of that offers free kiteboarding lessons are three hotels in South Padre Island, TX. has the info.

I have never snow kited but would like to try it sometime since I have all the gear.

I love both snowboarding and kiteboarding.
