I'm looking to upgrade my equipment this season. I was wondering if anyone can give me recommendations on new boots. My previous boot was the Saloman Dialogue from 04. I got a lot of heel lift from that boot. I'm currently looking at the Burton Driver X from 07 and the Burton Ion. What are your feelings on those boots? Any other I should look into?
What type of riding will you be doing?
Go into shops and try on LOTS of boots, make sure that your toes are just BARELY touching the end of the boot. Your boots will pack out after time and be more comfortable.
I'm trying to learn some park stuff, and the heel lift wasn't helping.
As far as the toes, I'm between two sizes - one that the toes barely touch, and one that barely touches a little less (sorry if that's confusing). I tried it on at the end of the day after my foot went through some expanding. Should I go for the smaller size, since the boot will pack out?
What is the difference between a $300 boot and one that is almost $500 like the SL-10. Would it even matter to me at my level?
I've got some Buzrun Crosses Boa Lacing boots they're freaking great... for me I have hourglass feet wide at the toes narrow at the arch and slightly wide at the heel
Its all about what boot fits you one of my friends only wears Sims, and the other only Ride its all up to how it feels...
When you try the boot on wear the socks you plan on riding with... Since if its kinda tight with regular socks it might be too tight with some thicker socks..
Good luck dude
