Semi-stiff boots to try on?

Looking for new boots for the upcoming season. I usually prefer a medium flex boot (ie 5 or 6 out of 10), but there are a couple factors leading me to look exclusively at stiffer boots for this season. Firstly it'll be my first season back on a busted ankle, so I want something with a lot of support and little movement. Secondly I am finding I am getting away from the park stuff and more towards harder carving, slack country and bigger lines when I can find them.
My last boots were k2 darkos and I loved the fit of them, so the first boot I am looking at is the t1, but could use some other tried and true options with similar stiffness so I can get a good comparison going.
