I'm having a little bit of trouble deciding between the 09 and 10 nrc's. I know that the only difference is the adjustable strap and a slightly different toe strap, but is this worth the extra $140? I also love the way the look of the 2010's. What should I go with?
Prob not. Just get last year's, which are still great bindings that you'll most likely be happy with. The infinitely adjustable base is the main component that sets this binding apart from ohers.
I'm in the same boat...I'm gonna ride my Unions for now and cop this seasons when they go on sale mid-season. I know that I'm not supposed to care about how things look and it's more about function etc, but this years model just looks so much better than last years that for me it's worth it to wait. If I really needed bindings I would just get last years but since I don't I'll wait
Not much has changed the past few years with Ride's higher-end bindings.
New toe strap? It works the same and even looks the same.
Custom flex ankle strap? Were you ever riding along and suddenly said to yourself, "Damn, I wish I could make my ankle strap a tiny bit softer for a minute."
The only reason I'm interested in the adjustable strap is because there are days where I ride park and enjoy a softer binding, and there are days that I am all freeride.
get last years, great deal and just as good as '10.
