What are you wanting to do as far as work at the resort? I work at Mt. Hood Meadows as an instructor. The pacific northwest is a tough place to work as the pay is pretty low and people up here just do`nt tip. I know Colorado has the big resort scene with Aspen, Vali, etc. I hear the pay is okay and people (gapers) who vacation there, tend to have money and tip pretty well. You may also want to look at Tahoe, the rich Californians tip very well and some of our Instructors who have worked there said they made almost $20.00 /Hr as level 2`s. With tips, they said it was not uncommon to have a $300 day.
There is a lot around Salt Lake with Park City, Brighton, Snowbird, etc. Again, it has a big resort feel and money comes there. I don`t think the base wages in Utah are as good as Colorado or Tahoe. Thats all I got; I hope it helps some.
