Well, if the resorts haven't had much in the way of snowfall neither will Berthoud. You are going to have to go up high to get turns and nothing will be gauranteed. If you go I would look at the North side of Russell. I've seen a trip report from there earlier this year. Expect just under the snow hazards. A bite from a snow snake this time of year could be very serious. So pick your lines carefully and ride conservatively. I am not even sure if you could ride all the way to the Current Creek parking area.

Another place worth looking at would be Butler Gulch. That area has it's own micro climate. So the six inches or so of snow Berthoud and Winterpark got could be over a foot back there.

Either way, take pics if you go and post up how it was.
