no experience with the other burton bindings, I got a pair of Cartels last February a day before heading to Tremblant for a week. They were my first new pair of binders in about 5 years so it took me a few days to dial them up right, but they're seriously rad.they're super padded and keep your foot locked down well without any pinching, they weigh next-to-nothing and you can adjust almost every piece of them without a screwdriver/multi-tool.
