Cool De-tuning? Bevels? Angles? What?

Sorry to start off another de-tune, bevel blabla thread, however I recently bought a new Nitro Haze and would just like to get some clarification.
The guy at the shop told me the board was ready for ripping, while I read and see from almost anywhere that de-tuning is something to live by. And bevels? I have no ideas on what the bevels are for my board, but I plan on riding park with some fun mountain runs. I asked another shop whether or not to de-tune, but they just said to go with the edges as they are. If I find a shop to do these things for me, what do I tell them?

Secondly, I've read people saying that factory wax is crap, while the shops say that it should be fine. Who should I trust? I don't trust myself enough to mess with the board myself. If I was to wax the board myself, would I need to remove the factor wax? And if so do I need to remove this wax?
I've never done any board maintainance before.

Thanks in advance
