Snowboard Manufactures Measure of Stance Width
Example. My Ride Kink 159W has a reported stance width of 22'. I'm running a 24" stance on it. Does anyone know where they are getting the 22" stance width measurement from?
Is it Min. distance?
Max distance?
Medium distance?
A distant measurement based off of hash marks on the board?
I would just remeasure this myself but my boards are up at the resort.
The below is from Burton's website on the definition of the term. It seems to mean that they are talking about the distance between the first inserts of the front foot to the start of the inserts for the second foot.
"Stance width of a snowboard is the distance between binding reference marks. Measured in inches, the stance width of any board can be adjusted beyond or within the reference points to dial in your desired stance width. "
