I got into running in January. Originally I started doing it to get some weight off (my big brother is getting married in August and I want to look good in my dress!) - but it's totally evolved into a hobby. I did my first 5k in April and am now training for a half marathon in the fall. Crazy, I know. I used to loathe running the mile.
I figure I always have problems with my calves when I board, because I'm not used to long runs and it's hard for me to get out sometimes because of work, so I'm hoping this will help with my endurance (it better or I'll be pissed!) - along with spending boo-koo bucks and getting a spanking new board, bindings, and boots this winter.
