The answer you are looking for is "Yes" it will scratch the bottom of the board, over time it will be pretty harsh on it if you plan on doing all the time over the summer. So if you plan on doing this it would be an good idea to have a "beater" board to "f*** up". And also the water would help with less friction of the board on the turf. GUDLUCK have fun.
