The Ride RX are really solid bindings with a all mountain flex. They have an all aluminium base so they will be a bit on the stiffer side. They are also not the lightest bindings because of that. Durability wise they are great.
Simply saying that an aluminum base is stiffer than a composite base is useless. So many factors to consider with the types of material and design, and even moreso when you add in various highbacks.
As far as these two specifically, I've owned a bunch of Ride bindings over the years, even recently, and they make great stuff. That said, I preferred Rome for aluminum baseplates, and these days am loving Flux. I got 2 pairs of them last year, and am hoping to try their newly redesigned ones this year too.
