Things are still extremely risky for the remaining 50k troops there, but it is still a progress in the right direction because those troops are no longer actively seeking combat. They are there to train Iraqi forces.
As for Afghanistan, that is a different story. We'll see though. A lot people are still pissed at Obama, but I can't hate on his administration right now. The end was no where in sight during the Bush Administration. At least now we can see a little bit of light at the end of that tunnel.
