At Schweitzer it's a $15 one time fee, and more then anything it's basically to keep all the 8-year-old lookie-lous and their parents from standing on jumps and creating potential hazards. I'm not sure beyond the $15 fee they will require you to do, on their latest posting the guy who manages the park said he will be running the "certification" thing at 11:00 and 1:00. I don't know what that entails, but it's more then likely just a briefing on safety and terrain park rules.
So the main objective is to keep people who don't belong in the park out, and to educate those who could potentially needlessly injure themselves or others. They said for this weekend no park passes will be required, and I would imagine probably not for a while until they get the park to full capacity.
All I know is I'm gonna be hitting powder stashes tomorrow, not jibbing shit when we have all this new snow
