For the past 3 years or so I've been riding a salomon pulse '09 and want to know if you guys think its time for a newer board (
Salomon Pulse Snowboard 2009 | evo outlet) Its in fine conditiong, just a few little scratches but no big deal and don't inhibit my riding at all.
As far as skill wise, I'm fine downhill but want to expand in the park more. I mainly want to do jibs/rails and buttering, although i still want to be able to do jumps easily. Right now I can to 180s cleanly and am working on cleaning up my 360. As far as jibbing goes, I'm able to do FS and BS boardslides, 50-50s and am trying presses and nose/tail slides, mainly on a box since i dont have a rail and our hill isnt open.
Anyway, the pulse is working fine for downhill and jumps but i feel like its a little to stiff for butters and the directional-twin makes it a little bit more difficult riding switch. I don't want to spend too much if i decide to get a new board, maybe $400 at most, but I want a more flexible board at about 151-154cm. I'm 5'8" 145 pounds, wear a size 10 boot and dont plan on putting anymore weight on. Any suggesitons or do you think I should stick with the one I have now? I was looking at the salomon sanchez or burton blunt but I'm still undecided.
