I went snowboarding for the first time in December and I am hooked. I took the class in Breckenridge also, which was awesome. We were going up the lift after about 45 minutes. My question is about the tuning of the bindings.
I was riding, and the instructor must have noticed something about how I was riding, because he said he wanted to tune my bindings. I gave him my board, and he adjusted the highback piece (not sure of the terminology) so that the high back was more at a forward angle than straight up. What did he see? What does this adjustment actually do for you?
Also, I know there are various angles you can set the base plates to, is this just for comfort or riding, or is there some fundamental reason for having them a certain way?
Is there a How-to, or some site that explains what all the different modifications and their reprecussions are?
Thanks
