We do a little bit of everything. onel0wcubn was launching some nice big 180s off the main kicker in the middle in blue pants. I am riding injured, so was not hitting that one...was just doing little frontside shiftys off the little set on the right...that set would be pretty cool if they would build them a little bigger and longer, they are too short and if you hit with any speed you can't grab the transistions. I did a big old shifty off the one on the bottom Mon and landed like 10-15' out on the trail on flat and washed out on the tail...fell right on my torn shoulder again.
Yea my friend totally cleared the landing for the second jump. Got to squrly in the air and landed in his tail bone and jacked his wrist up. He went down hard and was just laying at the end of the jump for a little while. Luckily it was the last run of the night.
I think I saw you guys. Was your friend wearing red pants? He hit the first one real nice and then something happened on the second one...that shit looked like it hurt bad, done that crap a number of times myself and it is a horrible feeling.
Any one have recommendations on lodging at snowshoe? I wanna take a trip there toward the end of feb. But I am having a hard time finding reasonable prices. I just need a place to rest my head at night doesn't have to be fancy. And we don't have to Lodge on the mountain. I don't mind driving a mile or to. I couldn't find a best western or holiday inn near there. Thats the type of thing I am looking for. I know Radiomuse goes up there a lot. What do you do to not go broke up there? I am taking 3 other people.

You can get a 1 br condo for a little over $100 a night. That is about as cheap as it gets out there. There is a place up the road a few miles where you can rent old houses to sleep up to 6 for about $125 per night. Other than that, not really much of anything away from the resort. Just check VRBO...etc like any other place.
Went yesterday morning. Tried all the blues and blacks, except for Exhibition. Conditions were great for the most part, really good coverage. The blacks are still a little icy, especially far side. I was hoping farside would be in better shape by now, I really like that trail when the snow is really nice.
I like that black run too. Has some nice side hits.. Now if I could land, that would help lol
I really need to just say f**k it and hit some smaller jumps. Lost all nerve when I bruised my ribs on a bad land last year. I just want to be able to get a little air...
If you are going on the weekend, definitely check out Liberty. The lift on the front side gets bad, but once you get to the back side the lifts hardly ever have very long lines. I just wish they had a separate lift for the park instead of the jbar. Whitetail has better trails and the high speed lift, but that place becomes such a zoo on the weekends and I just can't tolerate that many people...early Sunday mornings or evenings are usually the only time I will try to hit Whitetail on weekends.
Liberty is taking out the j bar next year and putting in a triple chair lift for the park. So next season the line will cut down in the alpine quad on the front. The reason I don't even ride park at liberty a lot is because riding that lift for one little park run is a waste of time.
yea, ive been to liberty a lot.. I just have always preferred Whitetail. Which is kind of odd because I like to stop and grab a beer sometimes and Whitetail has jack for tasty beverages lol... We end up having to bring our own and have a parking lot party
I also really prefer Whitetail, but yeah it is a really weird resort with nowhere to grab a beer. Will probably hit Whitetail or Liberty Sunday morning or afternoon. Thinking it will be pretty empty with all the Super Bowl parties. I would rather ride than watch football, hope a lot of people do not feel the same way.
That is awesome news. They build a pretty nice park up there, but really do need to add that lift. Can't stand the j bar...and you have to hike up to get to the hits in the middle anyway, which sucks.
onel0wcubn got hurt pretty bad...send some good vibes his way. Wishing you a speedy recovery man. At least you got some good shredding in this season so far. Maybe we will have to head for Chile over the summer to make up for days lost from recovery.
Oh man, just getting updates on his condition. He is hurt way worse than I thought. Ankle, wrist, ribs, and a couple vertebrae, knocked out. He can't even remember what happened. This really sucks.
Well, I think a 65' kicker might have been involved but not going to say for sure right now.
-He is out of the hospital, but has to go back for another surgery. The guy has been hurt pretty bad before, but nothing like this. He will heal up soon enough...but I don't like hearing this stuff about vertebrae.
