Just because you are a dad and over the age of 40 does not mean you should limit yourself to what you want to wear!

I would recommend looking for something with a removable liner, I personally like 686 jackets with the removable "Smarty" liner.
Also keep in mind that warm weather means melting snow. Make sure to get a jacket with decent waterproof rating at least 10k IMO to prevent soak in while sitting down or whatever.

This makes for a great all around jacket that works in the warm and in the cold but still looks good no matter what you are doing.
