I make plenty of money so I am not too worried about it but it is a consideration, not a deal breaker, I would definately have to look in a lower price range though..... My county taxes on my home in SA with school district fees included is about $1.50 per sq/ft/year which equals about $400/month in escrow I have to add to my house payments.... Again, this would be a huge difference in monthly spending if the costs were double/triple that for the county tax rates..... I am sure these are all things I will find out pretty soon but figured I would ask somewhere there are people that MIGHT know.

If it is an inconvenience for you to do that then sorry. However if someone asked me about costs of living where I am at, I would answer.....
Property tax and sales tax are two separate things =) Property tax = $600,000 home, sales tax = buying a red bull at a gas station

The sales tax in resort areas is higher because of tourists moving through. I am uncertain on property tax on purchases like that, but have heard they are a bit lower in Colorado than elsewhere. I haven't gone that route because I don't feel like buying a 3bd2ba made in the 1960's for 400k.
