Its adequate all over the mountain so I wouldn't say that you fucked up with your choice. You can definately feel what it was designed though. I have been riding mine all over the mountain for the last three weekends with no problems. The main troubles I had were just some foot fatigure from so much board flex (a small downside to the incredible torsional flex it offers) and the fact that the board left some to be desired. The board has handled hard pack well and is stable at higher speeds.
You should be fine unless you do a ton of Pow hunting in which case the board could be a bit tedious for you.
