You already have some great advice here, and there are plenty of really good manufacturers and bindings available. The comment above, however, would suggest a configuration issue, though, and is likely easily corrected.

Once your powerstraps are set, you should not need to adjust them at all. Granted, you are using a 3 generation old binding, but let's see if we can help you improve the performance. Let's get a visual. Please tighly lace on your boots and kick your foot into your strap. Before you raise the back, please snap a photo that shows your foot/boot in the binding. Someone else will likely need to take the picture. When we have that, we will be able to tell you what is going on.
