I remember looking at a slope and seeing a bunch of different lines to take and untracked patches to hit instead of standing at the top going "crap, is this steep!"

By the same token, I also find that I have new enjoyment of greens and blues for lazy, big turn, late day cruiser runs instead of thinking that I was "wasting" a run instead of pushing myself all day/every run.
