The difference between boards when you're talking about a few centimeters is pure preference. It may require a little bit more strength to spin or turn a 152 vs. 157, but if that's what you ride, your body will adapt.

Longer will be a bit more stable at high speeds, float a bit better in powder, but not be quite as agile if you're interested in trees or throwing some freestyle into your freeride. Keep in mind how often you intend on boarding, you'll build strength plenty quickly so long as you're out on the mountain frequently, but if you aren't going at least once a week, you might want to err on the side of shortness.
