alternative fuels aside and back to the topic.... i fail to see the issue with talking to other parties. (note the absence of emotive words such as 'negotiate' and 'terrorist').

for fuck's sake, people are dying left right and center with the main actors in the piece claiming the moral high ground. it is redonkustupidlame.

talking may not achieve anything, but then again, it might.

domestic networks of insurgence or resistance are exactly that, domestic. i am not so naive to suggest that some violent coercion is not being employed, but you have to be equally as fanatical with a 'superman complex' to presume that such bad lads haven't got at least some home-grown, ideological support.

clearly mighty military superiority doesn't mean anything. time for plan B / C / D / E...
