Im in a dilemma, i don't know if i should pick up the SL-R or the Proto.
I am 5'11 165-175lbs variable. Size 10.5 Boot.
I ride in the Ice Coast (NY)
I ride about 70% Mountain(Groomers) and 30% Park (Jumps & Boxes)
I was planning on getting a SL-R but after reading all the reviews the Proto seems like an awesome board! I don't ever plan on spending my whole day at the park, as said before i would probably spend 30% at most in the park. I do however, want to progress in the park.
I like the idea that the SL-R is more of a freeride oriented board with the Versatility of being a Park board. But much like its counter party the Proto is more of a Free style oriented board with the versatility of being a free ride board. Neither board seems to be a dedicated Freeride/Freestyle board like the Heritage or Evo. Both being a Jack of all trades board.
So which board would be best? Im almost at the point that my decision will be based on the sizing available for each board.
Ideally i would want a 156cm board, neither board comes in 156cm. The SL-R comes in a 155/158 the Proto comes in a 154/157.
What board/size should i get for my riding style?
P.S : My current stick which i plan to keep is a 09' Burton Custom 156cm
Thanks!
