does a backpack make flips easier?

i'll try to keep this short...

if you have some kind of counterweight (e.g. a backpack), would it make doing flips (esp. backflips) easier for someone who doesn't weigh a whole lot?

talking about the 'barrel roll' kind of flip, not cartwheels.

also, about the weight issue (i'm maybe 120, dripping wet), would that affect how the board pops?

thanks in advance.
