Hey Lucas I don't think you have anything to worry about with the Cartel re;flex.
You still have the ability to adjust stance angles with the disc in the binding, and the insert pattern (I'm pretty sure the Proto uses standard 4x2 6-pack insert pattern) on the snowboard allows you to adjust the stance width. This is no different than any other (non-Burton ICS) snowboard/binding setup.
So you are definitely not limited to "only one" stance option.
You can adjust it to center your boot from heel edge to toe edge. As you can see, the hinge on the baseplate is supposed to be mounted from toe to heel edge, not from tip to tail, to get better flex out of the board.
