Falling to much

Hey guys, so ive been having a problem with falling while im snowboarding. First I would like to say that I consider my self a experienced intermediate snowboarder. Ive been snowboarding for many years and go 20 days a year.

In 2010 I bought a Trice c2btx board that I mainly use to freeride. I would also like to add that before this board I had an older camber board and rarely ever fell. But since I got the Trice I notice while im carving on my heal edge I sometimes go over a small bump and drop an inch and instantly catch my toe edge and fall face first(remember half my carves are on ice). I never had this problem until I got this board and I would say I almost fall once every other day now. There never really hard falls they just knock the wind out of me but im getting old now and tired of falling

I never had this problem before I got the board and its really the only way I ever fall. Im guessing it has to do with my technique and my board. As far as the board is it the fact that the board is MTX or poorly suited for me? Could it be the sidecut radius?

I would also like to add that I donít have the greatest vision and cant spot every bump and I am often focusing on everyone around me since I live in NJ I have to dodge people a lot. So while im sure if I focus more on my carves and make bigger longer carves it may go away but this is not an option for me. I am always paying attention to everyone around me and always carve very tight.

Any suggestions because i am tired of falling. Is the board not suited well for me? Or is what I am describing just normal and happens?
