4-6 runs? I ride an NS here on the Ice Coast, seems all I ever see is manmade and boiler plate. I get about a day or 2 out of a wax (averaging a full weekend day and then about 4 hours of mid-week night riding) After that, I generally wax again before the next weekend, but I can get another session of night riding in if necessary.

By contrast, I've never had to wax on my annual week-long trip out west to ride powder. 6 straight days and my base looks the same as day 1.
