Default Lib-Tech boot size recommendations on sticker

I was in the LBS today and noticed that all the Lib-Tech boards have a recommended boot size on the sticker. For example, a Lib-Tech Skate Banana has a recommended boot size range of 8.5-10.5 for a waist width of 25.3cm. The boot size ranges aren't posted on their website but only on the board stickers. This is the first time I've ever seen recommended boot sizes on a board so my question is why would they put it on? Is a 25.3cm WW too wide for someone with a boot size < 8.5? Are smaller-footed riders sacrificing something that other manufacturers don't want to admit for fear of losing potential small-footed customers? :P Obviously too wide of a board will lead to slower edge-to-edge response but how much is too much? In Lib-Tech's case, I guess they figured it out. Seems like a lot of board companies are making boards in their 154-155 range (NS, Arbor, Gnu, LT, etc..) to be >25cm these days...
