Burton Pants - not good at repelling snow?

I seem to be the only one in my group of friends that always has snow stuck to their pants even though I either spend less or equal amount of time in the snow (sitting down to buckle in / wait etc)

Is this typical of Burton pants? I bought one last season that I threw out. Now I have this...

Grill Pant | Burton Snowboards

That cost me more + have goretex and it's still just as bad. What should I be looking for in pants? At this point, I don't really care so much about the cost. I would rather be dry most of the time than have a frozen butt by the end of the day
