It's my first season snowboarding and I don't have all the finer points worked out yet. I got a sick deal on a Burton Restricted Easy Livin 158 and a pair of Cartels, and man did this setup change snowboarding altogether for me. The rental setup was weighing me down and I wasn't progressing after a few days. What I'd like to know is how much boots add to / take away from the overall feel. I'm still in the rentals but I'm considering Burton rampant boots. I just don't know how one pair could perform $300 better than another, or if it's just looks. Thanks for any input.
